State Investigation Agency carries out raids in South Kashmir

Anantnag (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 14 : State Investigation Agency with assistance from the Central Reserve Police Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police today conducted raids at multiple locations in South Kashmir.
Officials said that the raids were conducted in connection with a terror funding case.

In Baramullah, police said today that it had attached the properties worth lakhs belonging to two terror handlers based in Pakistan.
As per an official statement, "Police in Baramulla after obtaining attachment order passed by Hon'ble Sub Judge Uri attached properties (1 Kanal & 11 Marlas) land worth lacs belonging to 2 terror handlers based in Pakistan namely Mohd Arif Badal son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Nawarunda & Mohd Bashir son of Mir Alam resident of Gowhallan Uri".
The action was taken under sections of 83 CRPC & are linked with case FIR No.82/1999 u/s 2/3 EIMCO Act, case FIR No. 34/1999 u/s 354, 323 & 06/2008 u/s 2/3 EIMCO Act of PS Uri, they added.
"The property was identified as belonging to terror handlers during an investigation conducted by Police," It added.
Earlier in the month, in a major crackdown on the Kashmir terrorist infiltration case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) attached six immovable properties of a top militant of the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist outfit in J-K, as per an official statement.
The case relates to the transportation of terrorists, infiltration into Kashmir from across the border, and seizure of arms, explosives, etc from terror operatives of the JeM.
"NIA investigations have exposed a conspiracy by the accused to transport the infiltrated terrorists to the Kashmir valley, and provide them safe shelter in preparation of attacks on the security forces/apparatus as part of the terror conspiracy against the Government of India," It added.
