PoK: MNCH Employees Protest in Muzaffarabad, Demand Job Regularization

Muzaffarabad, PoK, 11 March 2024: - In Muzaffarabad city of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, employees of the Maternal New-born and Child Health (MNCH) program protested the government's decision to terminate the program without paying their salaries. Demonstrations were held in front of official buildings in the Chattar neighborhood, with a significant number of female protesters traveling from various parts of PoK to participate. Reports indicate that these employees were initially recruited into the federally funded MNCH program 16 to 17 years ago. However, PoK has not fulfilled its commitment to integrate these positions into its regular budget.
