CBI apprehends four persons for accepting bribe of Rs 50,000

New Delhi [India], May 22 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended four accused, including the manager (quality), two technical assistants (TA) of FCI and a private person, in a case related to the acceptance of a Rs 50,000 bribe from the complainant.
A case was registered on May 21, 2024, by CBI against Manager (Quality) and a Technical Assistant (TA) of FCI, Mullanpur Dhaka, Ludhiana (Punjab) on allegations that said accused Manager (Quality) and TA demanded a bribe of Rs. 1,05,000 per truck from the complainant in lieu of passing consignments of his rice mill.
CBI laid a trap and caught the manager (quality), two technical assistants of FCI, and a private person during the trap proceedings related to the acceptance of a Rs. 50,000 bribe from the complainant.
Searches were conducted at five locations on the residential and official premises of the accused, during which incriminating documents were recovered.
