Bhilwara (Rajasthan) [India], September 14 : Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Congress and said that the grand old party is ashamed of Sanatana Dharma and that they want to end Sanatana Dharma.
In his address to the public in Bhilwara's Shahpura Thakur said, "Congress is ashamed of Sanatana Dharma, they want to end Sanatana Dharma, they want to insult Hindus and they want to crush the Constitution."
He further added, "Every day Congress and leaders of their supporting parties say that they will end Sanatana Dharma. They have now also started boycotting journalists and have started filing complaints. Whether it is in Chennai or Bengal, they are filing complaints out of fear."
While also addressing the public meeting, Anurag Thakur also made several other allegations against the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan.
"They do not know that many Mughals have come and gone here, but the temple of Somnath still stands as a symbol of Sanatana and now a grand temple of Lord Shri Ram is being built," he added.
Indirectly attacking Gandhi family, Thakur accused the Congress government of "engaging in pleasing brother-in-law (Robert Vadra) and Rahul Gandhi".
He further said that Congress and the opposition used many harsh words for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and had said, "Will a tea seller run the country?"
Thakur said, "When Congress was in power, it emptied the entire treasury but the Modi government has filled the treasury again while building homes and think tanks for the countrymen."
"Rahul Gandhi had come and said that he would waive off the loans of the farmers, but were the loans of the farmers waived off? Only the Modi government is working for the farmers," he said.
While addressing the public, Thakur said that 'Jal Jeevan Yojana' brought water to every house. He also gave credit to the Modi government for the soft landing of the Chandrayaan and the successful organization of G20.
Earlier a week ago, Thakur took a jibe at the INDIA alliance and said that the members of the 'Ghamandiya' alliance are selling 'Nafrat ka samaan'.
"In this 'Nafrat ki dukaan' of Rahul Gandhi the members of 'Ghamandiya' alliance are selling 'Nafrat ka saamaan'," Anurag Thakur said.
This came after Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin equated 'Sanatana Dharma' with "mosquitoes, dengue, malaria, fever and corona".
He further said that the alliance is demeaning 'Sanatana Dharma' and asked where is Rahul Gandhi sleeping."They are demeaning 'Sanatana Dharma'...Where is Rahul Gandhi sleeping? Wake up...Do you agree with these statements? Isn't it a violation of law and constitution? Isn't this hate speech? Shouldn't they apologise to the people of the country?" he added.
He further said, "I should make one thing clear 'Sanatana Dharma' ka apmaan nahi sahega Hindustan."
Udhayanidhi Stalin's remarks on 'Sanatana Dharma' sparked massive controversy across the nation.
