HP: Governor Shukla inaugurates Eleventh Art Exhibition in Shimla

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], May 19 : Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated the Eleventh Art Exhibition at the historic Gaiety Theatre in Shimla on Sunday.
The Governor inaugurated the five-day art exhibition, where artworks by 11 artists from different states of the country have been displayed. The exhibition was organised under the auspices of the Indian Arts Council.
Governor Shukla said that art is a universal language that transcends boundaries and connects us all. He said that it is a "reflection of our thoughts, feelings and the world around us."
"The paintings displayed here are not just works of art, they are windows into the hearts and minds of the artists, each of which tells a unique story and evokes a range of emotions," the Governor said.
Shukla added that each painting displayed here is a testament to the hard work and ability of artists to capture the beauty and complexity of life on canvas.
Addressing the artists, Governor Shukla said "Your contribution to enriching our cultural landscape and inspiring future generations of artists is invaluable."
He also mentioned that the historic Gaiety Theatre in Shimla has emerged as a centre of excellence in the country for performing various arts.
On this occasion, he was welcomed by Dr Chandrashekhar Kale, founder and president of the Indian Arts Council.
Programme coordinator Praveen Pandit presented a painting of the Governor made by him to Shukla.
On this occasion, many dignitaries were also present.
