New Delhi [India], May 11 : Calling Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy an "egoistic, psycho, sadist, destroyer and a looter", Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu said that YSRCP chief is destroying the future of five crore people in the state by killing opportunities.
In an interview with ANI, Chandrababu Naidu said, "He (Jagan Reddy) is an egoistic. He has a psyscho nature, a sadist, and he is also a destroyer, a looter. He is a combination of all these things."
He went on to say that "such type of personality never has been visualised or read even in the Indian mythology, our Christian history, even their villains, all these things, even in Islam".
Criticising Andhra Chief Minister for the demolition of Praja Vedika, a convention hall in Amaravati, Chandrababu Naidu said that Jagan Reddy's father, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, did not touch the vital projects and infrastructure started by him that were beneficial for the state.
"What I am saying is that he is a sadist. With all his actions, anybody will demolish Praja Vedika, which is a public property. Can you imagine? Even though I don't like it, that is my contribution. Even in Hyderabad, a high-tech city, I constructed. His father didn't destroy that or demolish it. I created an international airport. He continued with that. I created an outer ring road. He continued. Even Amaravati, what is the sin Amaravati has done? He (Jagan Reddy) destroyed the ecosystem. Now, after 10 years, we don't have capital. Can you imagine? Which is our capital, you tell?" the former Andhra Chief Minister asked.
When asked if there is any intense personal rivalry with Jagan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu said that Jagan Reddy is having "some mental" issues.
"I am not bothered about who is he to measure my stature. I was CM earlier than Rajsekhar, his father. His father. Nine years...What I am saying here is that he is having some problems mentally. That illusion, obsession or something else you can call anything. But... that type of personality is eligible to head the state? He is destroying the future of 5 crore people, as well as their prospects, future and the past. He destroyed all opportunities. He killed all opportunities," he said.
Targeting the Andhra Chief Minister for neglecting Amravati, Naidu questioned the purpose of making three capitals after 10 years post the bifurcation of the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.
"He wants to make three capitals. After 10 years, three capitals. Can you pick it up? What is Hyderabad today? What is Bangalore? Five-year mandate they have given to you. For five years, he didn't do anything. Now he is talking about three capitals. There was an existing capital, and that is Amravati. Even the Government of India recognised that and gave grants, everything. Why have you demolished?" Naidu asked.
The Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh will be simultaneously held on May 13. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
Andhra Pradesh has 175 Assembly seats, and 25 Lok Sabha seats. In the 2019 Assembly elections, the YSRCP won with a thumping majority of 151 seats, while the TDP was confined to 23 seats.
In the Lok Sabha polls, the YSRCP won 22 seats, while the TDP could only win three seats.
