Morocco reports 4,596 new COVID-19 cases, 75 deaths

Rabat [Morocco], November 9 (ANI/Xinhua): Morocco on Sunday reported 4,596 new COVID-19 cases, taking the number of infections in the country since March 2 to 256,781.

The total number of recoveries from COVID-19 in Morocco increased to 209,801 after 4,245 new ones were added, the ministry of health said in a statement.

The death toll rose to 4,272 with 75 new fatalities during the last 24 hours, while 933 people are in intensive care units.

Casablanca remains the worst-hit region in the country with 1,563 newly confirmed cases and 18 deaths during the last 24 hours.

The COVID-19 fatality rate in Morocco stands at 1.7 percent while the recovery rate is 81.7 percent. (ANI/Xinhua)
