RJD's Rohini Acharya calls PM Modi "uncle," urges him to campaign for her

Saran (Bihar) [India], May 13 : Mentioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, RJD candidate from Saran Lok Sabha seat, Rohini Acharya referred to the PM as uncle and urged him to campaign for her.
Notably, the PM also held a rally in Saran on Monday and took a swipe at the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal, calling them "slaves of appeasement".
"Narendra Modi uncle says Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. This 'Beti' is in Chapra, promote her too, campaign for her. Uncle and niece can have tea together and bring sweetness in Saran as he has promised that a sugar mill will be set up in Marhaura," Rohini Acharya said.
Meanwhile, Elderly women were also seen blessing Rohini Acharya, as she campaigned in the constituency.
Rohini Acharya who is the daughter of former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Yadav is contesting against BJP's Rajiv Pratap Rudy who recorded resounding wins against Lalu Prasad's kin in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
In 2014, he defeated former CM Rabri Devi, wife of Lalu Yadav from Saran. In the 2019 polls, he trounced Chandrika Rai, father-in-law of Lalu's son Tej Pratap Yadav.
Saran is set to poll in the fifth phase on May 20. The counting of votes for all phases is scheduled for June 4.
In the 2019 elections, the BJP-led NDA nearly mopped up the poll sweepstakes in the state, winning 39 of the 40 seats.
