Tata Steel official murder case: Accused killed in encounter with UP police

Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 11 : A week after a national sales head of Tata Steel was killed on his way back home from the Metro station, one of the accused in the incident was killed in an encounter by Ghaziabad police while two others were arrested yesterday, said an official.
Speaking to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Trans Hindon, Nimish Patil said, "Tata Steel's Sales Head was robbed and killed (on May 4). The main accused was killed in an encounter and the other two accused were arrested on Friday. The investigation is underway."
"With the help of CCTV footage, we identified the accused...on May 3, the accused reached Ghaziabad from Delhi and the victim was attacked in a secluded area, they robbed and stabbed him," added the DCP.
Police said they had recovered Tata sales head, Vinay Tyagi's laptop and phone from the accused. Officials said a police sub-inspector was also injured during the gunfight
The accused who was killed in the encounter was identified as Daksh, a resident of Mainpuri, UP, currently residing in Sangam Vihar, Delhi.
The other two accused have been identified as 20-year-old Yug Dhai, a resident of Seelampur, Delhi, and 24-year-old Luvkush alias Raghav Singh, a resident of Brahmpuri, Delhi.
Vinay Tyagi, Tata Steel's national sales head, was killed on May 4 and his body was recovered hours later by the family near Khaitan Public School in Shalimar Garden police station area.
