Bandipore (J&K), May 19 (ANI): Villages like Bagtore and other border villages’ picturesque landscapes and serene beauty often go unnoticed because of their geographical location. The army has been actively working to improve infrastructure, provide security, and promote tourism in these areas to promote the beauty and cultural richness of these places. Along with attracting tourists, the Army also provided a source of income for the locals living in these villages. The army has been successful in putting these border villages on the tourism map by organizing cultural events, adventure sports, and providing logistic support to tourists. The Indian Army's involvement in the promotion of tourism in border villages like Bandipore’s Gurez is praiseworthy and highlights their commitment to not just protecting our borders but also enriching the lives of the people living in these areas.
