Himachal CM lays foundation stone foundation stones of 18 development projects worth Rs 174 crore in Sunni

Sunni (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 24 : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday, laid the foundation stone of multiple projects in Sunni.
While felicitating the people on Dussehra, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced the up-gradation of Sunni Hospital to 100 beds Hospital by making it an ideal health institution and said that specialists will be appointed to facilitate the people of the area.
He also assured that adequate funds would be provided for the construction of the Mini Secretariat and the opening SDM office in Sunni. The Chief Minister announced the opening of the Sub Division of HPSEBL in Shoghi of Shimla Rural Assembly constituency, the release stated.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 18 development projects worth Rs 174 crore for the Shimla Rural Assembly segment.
The Himachal CM also claimed to provide relief packages to help the disaster-affected people.
As per the release, CM Sukhwinder Sukhu said that "the compensation being given to completely damaged houses has been increased from Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. The state government is providing free electricity and water connections and cement on government rates of Rs 280 per bag for construction of houses is also being given."
"The affected families living in relief camps are being given assistance of Rs 5,000 in rural areas and Rs 10,000 in urban areas for rented accommodation."
Slamming the BJP for not supporting the people of the state, Sukhu said "When a resolution was brought during the Vidhan Sabha session to declare the Himachal Floods as a national disaster and demand for special relief package, the BJP did not support the people of the State.
Earlier, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 77 crore in Kangra. Chief Minister Sukhu also provided Rs 5.87 lakh to Pragati of Dharamshala, Rs 4.98 lakh to Sahil Chaudhary of Shahpur, Rs 2.34 lakh to Vivek of Dharamshala for starting their avocations. Rs 3.15 lakh was also given to Rohit Kumar of Shahpur for the construction of a house, He also presented financial assistance to five orphan children Nisha Devi, Anuradha, Palak Choudhary, Sachin and Vidushi for pursuing higher education, said the release.
