BSF, Punjab Police recover Pak drone with narcotics in Amritsar

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], December 17 : A Pakistani drone carrying narcotics was recovered from Amritsar in a joint operation by the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, an official statement said on Sunday.
BSF said that the recovered drone is a Made in China 'Quadcopter' DJI Mavic 3 Classic model and was carrying approximately 545 grams of heroin.
"During the search operation, at about 8:15 pm (Saturday), troops recovered 1 drone along with 1 packet of narcotics item suspected to be heroin (Gross wt - appx 545 gms) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a hook made of rope attached with the packet, from the farming field adjacent to village-Dhanoe Khurd," an official statement issued by the BSF on read.

Earlier, Border Security Force (BSF) troops recovered a drone with narcotics in the farming field of Roran Wala Village in Punjab's Amritsar on December 11.
BSF troops while carrying out area domination patrolling ahead of the border fence on December 11 afternoon observed a suspicious item in the farming field near Roran Wala village in Amritsar.
Further, during the detailed search of the area, the BSF troops recovered one drone along with one packet of narcotics items suspected to be heroin (450 gms) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape from the farming field ahead of the border fence.
