Jodhpur (Rajasthan) [India], November 18 : Bharatiya Janata Party president, JP Nadda on Saturday took a swipe at Congress leader Sachin Pilot and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and asserted that in Rajasthan, Gehlot did not govern; instead, there was merely a power struggle between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot for the leadership position.
JP Nadda was addressing a rally at Bilara Constituency in Jodhpur.
"Wherever Congress's name is mentioned, there will be corruption, there would be a scam, there would be nepotism. These are names associated with Congress. Where there is BJP there will be development. CM Gehlot did not govern Rajasthan at all. It was just a fight for the chairor power struggle - between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot. 19 papers have been leaked in Rajasthan. A scam took place in Forest Guard recruitment. Rajasthan CM did not even spare an old age pension. Even the elderly were not spared. A scam of Rs 450 crores was done," JP Nadda said.
Referring to the Red Diary, Nadda mentioned that it was a term coined by one of Gehlot's own ministers. He further accused Gehlot's relatives of securing a contract worth Rs 11,000 crore and pointed out that Rajasthan ranked first in rape cases, as per the National Crime Records Bureau.
"Ashok Gehlot's relatives got a contract worth Rs 11,000 crore. National Crime Records Bureau says that Rajasthan is at number-1 in rape. This is what happens when a saviour becomes a predator. What happened in Dausa just now? There were 118 rape cases in the last 3 months. Gehlot says that Laal Diary is a conspiracy of the BJP. It was your minister that stood in the assembly and said, this is the diary of corruption," JP Nadda added.
He also alleged that Rajasthan is number 1 in terms of women's harassment which has cast an eclipse on Rajasthan's image.
"Today Rajasthan is at number 1 in the country in terms of women's literacy. Making brother with brother, Sar tan se juda karna (removing the head from the body), all are the sounds that have been heard in Rajasthan in the last 5 years. All these have cast an eclipse on Rajasthan. This eclipse will be removed on December 3," he added.
JP Nadda said that under Lado Protsahan Yojana, every girl will get a savings bond of Rs 2 lakh in Rajasthan. This bond will mature when the daughter reaches the age of 18 years.
"Our government will make compensation for all those whose land has been confiscated and will provide justice to the farmers. Under the Lado Promotion Scheme, we will give a saving bond of Rs 2 lakh to every girl child. When a girl will study in sixth class they will get Rs 6000 per year, in eighth class Rs 8000, in 10th Rs 12,000. For higher studies, Rs 50,000 per year and Rs 1 lakh will be given after 21 years of age. On the lines of AIIMS, we will create a regional institute of medical science in each division. We will spend Rs 5000 crore on health infrastructure. We will appoint new doctors too," BJP president said.
Voting in Rajasthan will be held on November 25 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3.
"When the world's economies are declining, India moved from 11th number to 5th number under the leadership of Modi ji. We are at the third position on automobiles. Today, 'Made in India' is written on mobile phones, earlier it was written Made in China," JP Nadda said.
