New Delhi [India], May 12 : Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday came down heavily on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal following his announcement of 10 guarantees and referred to them as "deceptions" calling him a "machine of lies".
Free electricity, education and health, two crore jobs in the next year, and giving full independence to the Indian Army to reclaim India's land currently occupied by China were among 10 promises Kejriwal made on Sunday. He also said that he would make sure these "guarantees" are implemented when the INDIA bloc is voted to power after the Lok Sabha elections.
Holding a press conference after Kejriwal's announcement Sachdeva said, "Your 10 guarantees are not guarantees but are deceptions, Arvind Kejriwal is a machine of lies who sells dreams and nothing else."
Talking about Kejriwal's guarantee of providing free electricity to the entire nation Sachdeva mentioned PM Modi's PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and called it better than Kejriwal's guarantee.
"They are saying that they will provide free electricity 24 hours a day in the whole country. In Delhi, the middle class is buying electricity at Rs 8. The business class is buying electricity at Rs 11-13. Do you want to provide this kind of electricity to the whole country? Our Prime Minister is providing better electricity than this under the Solar Yojana and also providing an opportunity for extra income. "
Further coming down to Kejriwal's next guarantee Sachdeva asked him how many colleges he has opened in the last 10 years.
"In the last 10 years whether he opened a new college, did he open any new school, renovating existing schools and posing them as new is the cleverness of Kejriwal. Third, he said mohalla clinics will be opened in every village and city, what kind of mohalla clinics will be there? where there will be fake tests and fake reports and lakhs of rupees will be looted."
Slamming Kejriwal for talking about soldiers Sachdeva "A CM who asks for evidence on martyrdom of soldiers, I feel ashamed when he takes name of soldiers from his mouth as I feel he is betraying the country."
"I want to ask him to how many farmers he has given compensation he has promised about. Delhi farmers have to visit Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to buy tractors because taxes are so high in Delhi," he added.
The Supreme Court on Friday gave interim bail to the Aam Admi Party convenor till June 1. However, as per the terms of his bail, the Delhi Chief Minister cannot make any comment about his role in the Delhi liquor scam case.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, all seven parliamentary seats in Delhi will vote on May 25, the sixth of the seven-phase nationwide polling.
