Nov 21, 2025
New Delhi [India], November 21 : The murder case of Angad (32), resident of Basai Darapur, Moti Nagar, has been solved by the Kirti Nagar Police, with the arrest of two key accused, following a meticulously conducted investigation.
The police also recovered the weapon of offence, a paper cutter knife, along with the victim's mobile phone and the accused's blood-stained clothes.
The case came to light on 17 November 2025, when a PCR call reported a male body near the Kirti Nagar railway tracks. On reaching the scene, police found the victim lying in a pool of blood in the bushes. A deep incised wound on the neck suggested a homicidal attack. The victim's mobile phone and other belongings were missing, prompting the registration of a case under FIR 5U/S 103(1) BNS at PS Kirti Nagar.
Initial investigations revealed no eyewitnesses. CCTV footage near the victim's residence showed Angad was last seen with two individuals, later identified as Satyendra Chaudhary and Amar. Using local intelligence and technical surveillance, Satyendra was apprehended. During interrogation, he revealed the involvement of Harish Chandra, father of Amar, in planning the murder. Harish Chandra was subsequently arrested. Efforts are ongoing to locate Amar, who remains absconding.
Police investigations established that the murder was revenge-driven. The victim had befriended Amar's sister and allegedly harassed her, sending abusive messages and threatening to leak objectionable videos. Despite repeated warnings and attempts at mediation, he did not stop, leading the accused to hatch a conspiracy to eliminate him.
On 16 November 2025, Amar and Satyendra lured Angad to the Kirti Nagar railway tracks under the pretext of drinking and resolving the issue. After consuming alcohol, they overpowered him and slit his neck with the paper cutter knife. Harish Chandra maintained constant contact during the act.
The arrested accused, Harish Chandra and Satyendra Chaudhary, are related as maternal uncle and nephew. The Kirti Nagar Police have confirmed that further investigation is underway, with efforts continuing to apprehend Amar and recover any remaining evidence.
