Tokyo [Japan], May 23 : BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi said on Friday that the Central government will do anything and everything to protect the 140 crores citizens of India.
Sarangi, who is in Japan as part of India's all-party delegation, launched a fierce critique of Pakistan for their misinformation campaigns and persistent support for terrorism.
Speaking about the delegation's meeting, the BJP MP stated that they met the Speaker and Members of the Parliament of Japan, and they have expressed solidarity with India.
"The government of India will do anything and everything to protect the 140 crore people in the country. I think india's viewpoint has to be put forth before everybody. Pakistan has been peddling lies all through. Pakistan has been saying things against India. This has to be actually done away with... We met the Foreign Minister yesterday. We also met the former Prime Minister and the Vice President of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan. Today, we had the opportunity to meet honourable members of parliament from Japan and the Honourable Speaker of Japan. So all of them heard us at length and all of them have assured us that they would be joining hands with India in this war against terrorism. They are in solidarity with India. This is extremely satisfying, and we are extremely happy about it," Sarangi told ANI.
Earlier in the day, JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, who is leading a multi-party delegation to Japan and other East Asian countries as part of India's global outreach against terrorism, said on Friday that the delegation received strong support from Japanese lawmakers in the fight against terrorism.
During discussions with members of Japan's National Diet, Jha said that the delegation presented evidence, including photographs of Pakistani generals attending funerals of known terrorists.
While speaking with ANI, Jha said, "We met many of the Japanese parliamentarians (members of the National Diet of Japan) today and everyone is supporting us in the fight against terrorism... We have shown them the photographs of how Pakistani generals attended the funerals of the terrorists."
He added, "Pakistan is completely exposed now, its 'victim card' is exposed now, the people worldwide understand Pakistan's state-sponsored terrorism. We have told them about the statement of the Pakistani Army chief, people here were not much aware of his 'pravachan' (preachings) on the two-nation theory."
Jha and other delegates met with Japan's Former Defence Minister Minoru Kihara and Shinako Tsuchiya, Director General of the International Bureau of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). During the meeting, Members of Parliament reiterated India's strong resolve to fight every form of terrorism.
The all-party delegation projects India's national consensus and resolute approach to combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It will convey to the world the country's strong message of zero tolerance for terrorism.
