"Haryana Govt awarded for its efforts in realm of governance reform": Manohar Lal Khattar

Chandigarh [India], December 19 : Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that the Haryana government had secured the coveted prize as the "Reformist State" and was recognised for its efforts in the realm of governance reform.
Speaking during the winter session of the State Assembly on Tuesday, Khattar said, "The Haryana government secured the first prize in the 'reformist state' category. The award was presented at the Tax India Online (TIOL) Awards 2023 on September 14. The award recognized Haryana's efforts in governance reform. "
He further informed that in October 2022, Rs 19,622 crore tax was collected in Haryana and in October 2023, the state collected Rs 23,841 crore tax which indicated a 21 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
Khattar also said that Haryana ranks first in the country in GST collection and per capita income among small states with a GST collection of Rs 34,186 per person in the state.
On September 14, 2023, the Haryana government won the first prize in the "Reformist State" category at the TIOL Awards 2023. The award recognized Haryana's efforts in governance reform.
Haryana emerged as the Gold Award winner, showcasing its exceptional efforts in the realm of governance reform.
The TIOL Awards aimed to encourage and acknowledge the contributions of compliant taxpayers, tax technology service providers, and other reform-minded states.
Earlier this year, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that Haryana has been actively pursuing transformative initiatives aimed at improving administrative efficiency through the integration of e-services and technology.
