Hope both states will set new standards of development, says Yogi after attending oath-taking of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh CMs

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], December 13 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday congratulated and extended good wishes to the chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Mohan Yadav and Vishnu Dev Sai, moments after they were sworn into office, saying he was hopeful that both states will set new standards of development under their leadership.
In his congratulatory message, Adityanath, who was among the dignitaries in the swearing-in ceremonies in both states, voiced hope that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the two CM's would take Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to new heights of development and progress.
Taking to his official handle on X, the Uttar Pradesh CM posted, "Heartiest congratulations to Mohan Yadav on taking the oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. I am confident that under the skilled guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, you will successfully lead Madhya Pradesh to new heights of development."
Also expressing a similar heartfelt wish for the Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Adityanath posted, "Heartiest congratulations to Vishnu Dev Sai on taking the oath as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. I have full confidence that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and your adept leadership, Chhattisgarh will establish new standards of development. Jai Chhattisgarh Mahatari."
Also congratulating the deputy chief ministers of MP, Adityanath wrote, "Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla on taking the oath as Deputy Chief Ministers of the state of Madhya Pradesh. May both of your terms be excellent."
The BJP's state president Arun Sao and fellow party leader Vijay Sharma took oath as the deputy chief ministers of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, congratulating Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla, who were sworn into office as the deputy CMs of Madhya Pradesh, Adityanath posted, "Congratulations to Arun Saw and Vijay Sharma on taking the oath as Deputy Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh. Best wishes for your bright tenure."
Earlier, on Wednesday, the CM-designates of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh took their oath of office from the governors of the two states.
Mohan Yadav took oath as CM at a ceremony at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal while Vishnu Sai was administered his oath at Science College Ground in Chhattisgarh capital Raipur on Wednesday.
Madhya Pradesh polled for 230 assembly seats in a single phase on November 17 and the counting of votes was conducted on December 3.
The BJP, which had been battling close to 20 years of incumbency in the state, won a resounding mandate, bagging 163 seats, while the Congress finished a distant second at 66 seats.
Of the 90 assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh, the BJP bagged 54 while the Congress won 35.
