Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 8 : Launching a scathing attack on the INDIA bloc, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that if the former comes to power after the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, it will put a "Babri" lock at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
While addressing a public meeting in Hardoi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and said, "If the INDIA bloc comes to power after the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, it will put a 'Babri' lock at the Ram temple in Ayodhya."
"This is an arrogant alliance, SP, Congress, TMC... all of them who have come together have committed scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore," he added.
Referring to the recovery of Rs 30 crore from the house of a domestic helper of the secretary of a Jharkhand minister, Shah said, "Just yesterday, Rs 30 crore was seized from the house of a servant of the secretary of a minister of the Indi Alliance in Jharkhand. A few days ago, Rs 350 crore was seized from the house of a Congress MP. A few days before that, Rs 51 crore was seized from the house of a TMC leader. I want to tell Rahul Baba and Akhilesh that if you do corruption, you will be caught and will go to jail. No one can stop you."
Hitting out at Rahul Gandhi over alleged support from Pakistani, the Home Minister said that the former pushes Pakistan's agenda and Pakistan supports him.
"Recently Pakistan has praised Rahul Baba a lot. A journalist asked me why is Pakistan praising Rahul Baba. So I said, surgical strike happens, Rahul Baba opposes it. Naxalites die, Rahul Baba protests. Article 370 removed, Rahul Baba protests. Ram temple was built, but Rahul Baba opposed it. Rahul Baba pushes Pakistan's agenda and Pakistan supports Rahul Baba," he said.
Shah further claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed 190 seats after the conclusion of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
"The third phase of elections was held yesterday. In just three phases, Modiji has crossed 190 seats. In the fourth phase, the BJP and NDA under the leadership of Modiji are moving strongly towards 400. SP, BSP and Congress have been wiped out," the Home Minister said.
The voter turnout in the 93 parliamentary constituencies that went to polls in the third phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections was recorded at 64.4 per cent, according to the Election Commission of India.
