Aurangabad (Bihar) [India], July 11 : As RJD and BJP level allegations against Jan Suraaj by calling it a 'B team', Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Friday said that his party will cut votes of both the parties and will completely wipe them out of the Bihar in the upcoming Assembly polls.
Speaking to reporters, Kishor said, "RJD was saying that the BJP has fixed Jan Suraaj. Now, the BJP is saying that Congress has fixed Jan Suraaj. Everybody says that Jan Suraj is a vote-cutter party. So I am saying on record that Jan Suraj is a vote-cutter party. It will cut the votes of both and wipe them out."
In Janurary this year, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav called Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor "B team" of the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that nobody has anything to do with students in the matter of protests over the BPSC examinations
"A story has been written, there is a director, producer, financier, actor and vanity van also. Who is doing this and why are they doing this, we know everything....nobody has anything to do with students, a film is being shown and a narrative is being set, we are fully aware of this...it's a film so watch it...it is the B-team of BJP (who is behind this)," Tejashwi Yadav told ANI.
Meanwhile, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal called Prashant Kishor a "political businessman."
Jaiswal added, "He (Prashant Kishor) is a political businessman..I have said earlier that if the evidence is found at any centre before the results are declared, then the exam at that centre will be cancelled and re-conducted, but evidence must be found. The government is sensitive and is getting every centre investigated confidentially."
The Bihar elections are expected to be held later this year, in October or November; however, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has not yet announced the exact dates.
While the NDA, consisting of the BJP, JD(U), and LJP, will once again be looking to continue their stint in Bihar, the INDIA bloc, consisting of the RJD, Congress, and left parties, will be looking to unseat Nitish Kumar.
Prashant Kishore has presented his party, Jan Suraaj, as another alternative in the state.
In the current Bihar Assembly of 243 members, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) consists of 131 with the BJP having 80 MLAs, JD(U)-45, HAM(S)-4, with the support of 2 Independent candidates. The Opposition's INDIA Bloc has a strength of 111 members with RJD leading with 77 MLAs, Congress-19, CPI(ML)-11, CPI(M)-2 and CPI-2.
