Kozhikode (Kerala) [India], December 21: Reacting to the case registered against him over the Youth Congress march violence, Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly VD Satheesan on Thursday alleged that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is threatening him.
"They have initiated a case against me...The CM is trying to threaten me, I don't have any problem... They are sending young people to jail, I'm also going to jail with them. When they are sending the youngsters of the Congress party and UDF to jail, we will go with them...For the last so many weeks they have been brutally attacking our youth. They also tried to attack young women," VD Satheesan said.
He further asserted that the Kerala Chief Minister justified the actions of the accused person.
"The first accused should be the Chief Minister of Kerala. Unfortunately, the Chief Minister of Kerala justified the actions of the accused person. He said that it was a life-saving activity and it should be continued," he added.
Kerala Police has registered a case against the Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan regarding the Youth Congress march violence on December 20.
The Congress leader has been charged under non-bailable sections of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly attacking the police and participating in the destruction of public property during the march on Wednesday.
The protest march was held against the alleged attacks on Youth Congress workers who waved black flags during the Nava Kerala Sadas, an outreach programme of the state government.
