Madhya Pradesh BJP president lauds "historic work" by Balaghat's Suma Uike whose path to "self reliance" finds mention in PM Modi's 'Mann ki Baat'

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 29 : Madhya Pradesh BJP president VD Sharma on Sunday lauded the "historic work" done by Suma Uike from the State's Balaghat district who has found mention in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann ki Baat' programme.
The MP BJP president stated she has done "historic work" in the cultivation of mushrooms and animal husbandry.
During the 'Mann ki Baat', PM Modi also highlighted the "global recognition" of yoga and the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, the chief minister said..
"Today, I got the opportunity to listen to PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat program...In today's program, PM Modi highlighted the global recognition of Yoga and the completion of 50 years of the Emergency...He also mentioned a woman from the Balaghat district of MP. She has done historic work in the cultivation of mushrooms and animal husbandry. It is a matter of pride for our state," Sharma said.
During the 123rd episode of the 'Mann ki Baat', the Prime Minister mentioned a story of "self-confidence" and "self-reliance" of Suma Uike who has received training in mushroom farming and animal husbandry.
"These stories from different states have different faces. But their glow is the same. This is the glow of self-confidence, of self-reliance. One such face is Suma Uike from Madhya Pradesh. Suma ji's efforts are very commendable. She took training in mushroom farming and animal husbandry by joining the Self Help Group in Katangi block of Balaghat district. Thus she found her the path to self-reliance. When Suma Uike's income increased, she also expanded her work. This journey that started with a tiny effort has now expanded to 'Didi Canteen' and 'Thermal Therapy Centre'. In every corner of the country, countless such women are changing their fate and that of the country,' PM Modi said during 'Mann ki Baat' program.
