Mosque loudspeakers disrupt children's education: Rajasthan BJP MLA Balmukundacharya

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], January 30 : BJP MLA Balmukundacharya raised the issue of mosque loudspeakers disrupting children's studies in Jaipur.
During the Zero Hour in the State Assembly on Thursday, Balmukundacharya raised the issue of reducing the high volume of loudspeakers installed on mosques in Jaipur city. He stated that the loud noise starts at 4 AM, disturbing sleep and affecting the health of elderly and sick people, infringing on their rights.
Raising the matter under Rule 295, Balmukundacharya stated that the loud noise from mosque loudspeakers disrupts children's studies. He noted that the high-volume sound begins as early as 4:00 AM, causing distress to the elderly and the sick due to noise pollution. He further argued that people's sleep is being disturbed, which constitutes a violation of their rights.
He claimed that when local residents requested a reduction in the loudspeakers' volume, some individuals became confrontational. He urged the government to control and reduce the volume of loudspeakers at mosques and to strictly enforce sound limits.
Earlier, ahead of the forthcoming budget session, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani convened an all-party meeting on January 27 to ensure the House's smooth and effective functioning.
The Speaker emphasised the importance of the budget session and stressed the need for constructive debate and cooperation among all political parties. He said he has held individual discussions with leaders across party lines and has now called an all-party meeting to build consensus.
"The budget session is very important for the Assembly. For meaningful debates and constructive suggestions, I have spoken to everyone individually and have also called an all-party meeting on the 27th," Devnani told ANI
The Speaker emphasised the opposition's role in raising public issues and underscored that the government must respond appropriately to these matters. He assured that no debate would be denied if conducted in accordance with the House's rules.
"I will strive to ensure that the House functions in a dignified manner," Devnani said, appealing to all members to uphold decorum during proceedings in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
