Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 27 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday offered prayers at the Dada Darbar Temple in Khandwa and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.
During the visit, the Chief Minister also said that the state government is committed to preserving the sanctity of the revered shrine while undertaking its development.
Addressing the media after offering prayers, CM Yadav said he had come to seek the blessings of Dada Dhuniwale two days before Guru Purnima and prayed for the welfare of the people.
"I have come here to this sacred site two days before Guru Purnima to seek Dada Ji's blessings. Dada's nature was to feed the hungry and remove suffering from everyone's life. The shrine reflects the ideals of Sarva Dharma Sambhav (equal respect for all religions), compassion and inner spiritual strength rather than outward display of religiosity," the Chief Minister said.
He added that there had been differences of opinion in the past regarding construction and development works at the temple, but the government had resolved those issues through consensus.
"I am satisfied that the differences over construction at this place have been resolved. This sacred site of Bade Dada Ji and Chhote Dada Ji is a matter of pride and honour not only for Khandwa but for the entire state. While maintaining its dignity and traditions, we will do everything possible to make this place grand and divine," he said.
Additionally, in a post on X after the visit, CM Yadav said, "Today, I offered prayers at the revered saint Shri Dadaji Dhuniwale Maharaj in Khandwa and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state."
