"No deep state can function under leadership of PM Modi...nothing is hidden from him": Nishikant Dubey
Jul 18, 2025

New Delhi [India], July 18 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey has said that "no deep state" aligned to a foreign power can operate in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and if anyone tries to be close to any such entity, they will be quickly destroyed.
In an interview with ANI, Dubey said that PM Modi has a strong connect with the citizens and has deep knowledge about people and places of the country.
"After 2014, it is the era of social media. 140 crore people of this nation are journalists. Earlier, there was controlled journalism, but now it is uncontrolled... No Deep State can function under the leadership of PM Modi. The reason behind this is that the PM handles everything personally. Nothing is hidden from him," Dubey said.
"The second thing is his connection with the ordinary people. Whenever I meet him, he tells me something about my constituency that I am not familiar with. So, the Deep State cannot function for longer under his leadership," he added.
He was responding to a query about allegations that there is a US deep state and it is trying to influence public opinion.
"If anyone tries to collaborate with any kind of deep state, they will be finished in two minutes. Because honest leadership--I'm not saying this alone - the whole world acknowledges this and it is a fact, there cannot be more honest leadership," he said.
Dubey said BJP-led government has been in power for 11 years at the Centre and there is no allegation against any minister.
The four-time BJP MP also referred to CBI action in the case related to National Medical Commission over regulatory framework concerning medical colleges and said action is taken if there is a wrongdoing.
"Their were raids...if there's corruption, no one is spared," he said.
Dubey also pointed to hard negotiations with the United States over the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) and US President Donald Trump's statements.
"If there was a deep state connection, it would not have happened," he said.
Answering a query on Operation Bluestar, the BJP MP claimed that when it was executed, British Armed Forces officers were present in Amritsar
"It was conducted in June 1984, and this document is from January-February. They planned to execute the Operation Bluestar by taking Margaret Thatcher (former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) into confidence...When Operation Bluestar was executed, British Armed Forces officers were present in Amritsar. They did not come in June (1984), they were there since January-February (1984)...If we are fighting other countries with the help of a different country, there is no problem with that. But we taking help from any other country to fight our own countrymen, what kind of a socialist country were we?" he asked.
Answering a query, he alleged that Mamata Banerjee government is not giving land for fencing to check infiltration from Bangladesh.
"Bangladeshis being driven out of Assam are now being settled in Karnataka and Kerala," he claimed.
Dubey defended electoral revision in Bihar.
"It is not for the citizenship. The people are creating confusion about this...You were not a voter in the 2010, 2015 and 2020 elections, and then suddenly, a 70-year-old man becomes a voter in the 2025 elections. Then, ECI will ask that if you are a voter at present, where were you in previous elections...Bihar elections will be conducted with the voters of Bihar, not Bangladeshis," he said.
Bihar will face polls later this year.
