"No discussion on cabinet reshuffle": Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah after meeting with Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi [India], November 15 : Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Saturday that he met with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, but their discussion was limited to the Bihar elections, with no mention of a Cabinet reshuffle.
He further added that he plans to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, provided he receives an appointment.
Speaking to reporters, Karnataka CM said, "Yes, I met Rahul Gandhi. We only discussed the Bihar election. He's our leader, so we encouraged him after a setback in the Bihar election. He said he's not worried about it. We have told him not to lose his spirit. There was no discussion about a cabinet reshuffle at all. I will meet the PM on Monday if I get an appointment."
In October, terming Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's word as final, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday said that he would go by what the CM says amid speculations about the change in the leadership and a Cabinet reshuffle here in the state government."What is left to be said after the CM's statement? We follow his word," Shivakumar told reporters when asked about CM Siddaramaiah's statement that he would complete the full term as CM if the Congress High Command agrees.
Meanwhile, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Nitish Kumar registered a landslide victory in the Bihar polls.
The NDA secured 202 seats out of 243, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party, winning 89 seats.NDA: BJP: 89 seats, JD(U): 85 seats, LJP (RV): 19 seats, HAM (S): 5 seats and RLM: 4 seats, while Mahagathbandhan: RJD: 25 seats, INC: 6 seats, CPI(ML)(L): 2 seats, CPI(M): 1 seat. IIP won 1 seat and AIMIM won 5 seats.
Earlier today, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Bihar Assembly election was "unfair from the beginning" after the party failed to hit double digits despite contesting on 61 seats.
Gandhi said that the party will review its performance after the election and assured that Congress will continue to "fight for the protection of the Constitution and democracy."
In a post on X, Rahul Gandhi said, "I express my heartfelt gratitude to those millions of voters in Bihar who expressed their trust in the Mahagathbandhan. This result in Bihar is truly surprising. We could not achieve victory in an election that was unfair from the very beginning."
"This fight is for the protection of the Constitution and democracy. The Congress Party and the INDIA alliance will deeply review this result and make their efforts to save democracy even more effective," he added.
