Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 1 : Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey said that on October 2, the people will witness the Dussehra celebrations of the "real" and "fake" Shiv Sena in Mumbai.
"On the 2nd, you will witness a real Shiv Sena's and a fake Shiv Sena's Dussehra celebration in Mumbai," Dubey said on Tuesday.
"The real Shiv Sena is Uddhav Thackeray's, who has never changed the venue of his Dussehra fair," he added.
Dubey further said, "Who is the true Shiv Sena and who is the fake one, this has been seen today by the people of Maharashtra. The entire country, along with Maharashtra, eagerly waits to hear Uddhav Thackeray's address."
The Shiv Sena rally will be held at Nesco Centre in Goregaon, while Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) is set to hold its rally at Shivaji Park. Shiv Sena (UBT) functionaries said making arrangements was a challenge at Shivaji Park as the ground was muddy after heavy rain.
Shiv Sena functionaries said that the Dussehra rally was earlier planned at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai but was shifted to Goregaon due to heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the state cabinet has decided to implement all relief measures for farmers and disaster-affected citizens.
"The banks have also given instructions to stop the recovery of loans from disaster-affected farmers. The state government stands firmly behind the flood victims," Fadnavis said.
He further said, "Farmers are currently in trouble. Keeping this in mind, clear instructions have been given to the banks to stop the recovery. Also, wheat, rice, pulses and essential commodities are being distributed to flood-affected families."
"The state government will also provide independent assistance for damages beyond the norms of the central government, such as wells being dug up, and agricultural land being eroded. The damage assessment will be completed in two to three days, and a proposal will be sent to the Centre next week," the Deputy CM added.
