"Our govt sincere towards women empowerment": Tripura CM after launching initiative to curb child marriage

Agartala (Tripura) [India], February 26 : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday launched the 'Child Marriage Elimination through Sensitisation, Tracking and Awareness' (CHESTA), calling it a transformative step towards preventing child marriage in the state.
After launching the event in Tripura's Khowai district, the CM posted on X, "In a step towards preventing Child Marriage, the Khowai district administration initiated CHESTA- Child Marriage Elimination Through Sensitization, Tracking & Awareness. Happy to inaugurate this initiative in the presence of a good number of students & others at Khowai New Town Hall."
"I believe that with the active participation of all sections of people, this initiative will strengthen the fight against Child Marriage," CM Saha added in his post.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Khowai district-level Saras Mela at Khowai Government School Ground on Monday, the CM posted on X that the BJP government was sincere towards women's empowerment.

"Our Government is sincere towards #WomenEmpowerment. To realise the vision of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendeamodi Ji, we are ensuring socio-economic growth of the women through SHGs & making them Atmanirbhar," CM Saha posted from his X handle.
Earlier in the day, the CM inaugurated the tertiary waste treatment plant at Baralunga Tuichindrai Gram Panchayat in Khowai district.
In a separate post, CM Saha said that he laid the foundation stone and performed the Bhumi Pujan programme of the District Administration Residential Complex at Dhalabil.
"We are committed to delivering various services to the people in a time-bound manner. To this end, we are strengthening the district administration through improved infrastructure. Today, laid the foundation stone of Khowai district administration residential complex & took part in Bhumi Pujan," CM Saha said in a separate post.
