Telangana govt announces committee to strengthen digital governance

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 8 : Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday announced the constitution of an official committee to strengthen digital governance in the state, directing it to submit its report within 100 days.
Chief Minister also instructed officials to take strict action against agencies that fail to pay salaries to contract and outsourcing employees on time despite the release of government funds.
The directions were issued during a review meeting on issues concerning the contract and outsourcing employees.
During the meeting, CM Reddy sought details on the implementation of digital governance and instructed officials to formulate plans for its rollout and prepare the necessary legislation. He said the administrative system should move forward through full-scale digitisation, with the objective of providing better public services and ensuring welfare schemes reach beneficiaries directly through digital governance.

CM Revanth Reddy enquired about the digitalisation of the data regarding contract and outsourcing employees along with regular government staff. The officials were ordered to digitise the entire data and ensure the salaries are paid on the first day of every month.
The details of the contract and outsourcing employees in all departments, including their salaries and bank account information, should be digitised, the Chief Minister said.
