"They copy everything": Tejashwi Yadav slams NDA after release of their 'Sankalp Patra'

Patna (Bihar) [India], October 31 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial face, Tejashwi Yadav, on Friday criticised the NDA's 'Sankalp Patra', calling it a mere copycat of their own promises.
The NDA's manifesto promises to provide over one crore government jobs and employment opportunities, among other things. Yadav questioned the feasibility of these promises, asking where the NDA plans to generate these jobs.
"They copy everything," Tejashwi said while addressing the media on Friday. Referring to the NDA's pledge to provide one crore jobs, he added, "They say they will provide one crore jobs. They ask me where I will generate jobs from; they should say where they will do it from."
Earlier today, Yadav hit out at the NDA's manifesto, demanding that the alliance should apologise to the public and release "sorry patra" instead of their 'sankalp patra', since the previous poll promises have not been completed and new ones have been made.
The RJD leader also questioned Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's health, saying that the CM might not even be aware of what is written in the NDA's 'Sankalp Patra,' released six days before the Bihar assembly elections are set to commence.
Yadav pointed out that despite 20 years of NDA rule, Bihar remains one of the poorest states with no significant industrial growth or investment.
"We want to say that with what we have seen, the NDA should bring in a 'sorry patra' (apology manifesto) and apologise to the fourteen crore people of Bihar that even after ruling for twenty years, Bihar is one of the poorest states," Tejashwi Yadav told reporters here.
Deploring the lack of factories and investments in the state, the RJD leader added, "There is no factory, no investment. The government has failed in all sectors, so they should have brought an apology patra. If you see their false joke of twenty years, the promises they had made for twenty years. Every manifesto that they have brought for twenty years, that manifesto must also say what happened to us?"
Criticising the promise of building more hospitals in the state, Yadav alleged that while the infrastructure might get built, the hospitals themselves might not even have doctors and nurses in them.
"They said that one will see hospitals and medical colleges being built in every district. The medical college has no doctors, no nurses. There is no medicine, there is no treatment. Nothing is happening. So, according to that, if you look. So send an apology letter to these people. These people should apologise to the 14 crore people of Bihar," he said.
Expressing confidence in the Mahagathbandhan winning the polls, Yadav said that the people have now realised the NDA's 'chaal charitra' (character) and will ensure a victory for his alliance.
"This is just 'jumla'. People of Bihar have recognised their 'chaal, charitra'. They will give NDA a befitting reply this time. Mahagathbandhan will form the government. People of the state want to end unemployment," he added.
The NDA members in Bihar jointly released their manifesto 'Sankalp Patra' in Patna on Friday in the high-stakes assembly elections.
In the manifesto, the NDA has promised to provide over one crore government jobs and employment opportunities, conduct a skills census to provide skills-based employment, and establish mega skill centres in every district, transforming Bihar into a 'Global Skilling Centre'.
The Mahagathbandhan has also released its manifesto, Tejashwi ka Prann, a few days ago.
The voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results for both will be declared on November 14.
