Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], May 16 : Taking charge of the Chardham Yatra arrangements, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday postponed all his political programs proposed across the country and held a high-level meeting at the Secretariat.
The Chief Minister instructed the officers to get down to ground zero and handle the arrangements. Apart from this, he appealed to the pilgrims coming from all over the country to definitely come to Chardham, but strictly follow the government advisory, said an official statement.
However, the government was busy preparing for this before the start of the Yatra and the Chief Minister himself was monitoring the entire system amidst his busy schedule, but due to getting political responsibility as a star campaigner at the national level by the party, the Chief Minister was constantly touring different states of the country.
The crowd of pilgrims gathered on the opening of the doors of the four Dhams and till now the number of registrations for the four Dhams has reached close to 30 lakhs, due to which more movement than capacity has started being seen in the Dhams.
Because of this, Chief Minister Dhami postponed all his political programs and reached the Secretariat directly on Thursday. He also held a high-level meeting of senior police and administration officers and gave strict instructions to the officials to reach ground zero for the smooth, systematic and safe conduct of the Chardham Yatra.
The Chief Minister gave a clear message that it is our responsibility to provide safe darshan to all the pilgrims coming to Devbhoomi; any kind of negligence or disorder will not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister also said that during the political programs held across the country, he has invited everyone to come for Devbhoomi Darshan.
Along with this, it was also suggested that the government advisory, such as registration, booking, weather, medical checkups and pressure in the Dhams, must be strictly followed.
