We are preparing to win in 2027 assembly polls: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Dec 06, 2025

New Delhi [India], December 6 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday took a veiled dig at the Samajwadi Party over the law and order situation that existed in the state during its rule and said there was a need to change the perception and establish that there is no tolerance towards crime and criminals. He said the BJP is preparing to win the next assembly polls in the state in 2027.
Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, the Chief Minister said that any society should feel proud of its heritage, and that efforts are being made in that direction.
"Hum sabhi jagah pahuchenge aur pahuch chuke hai...", Yogi Adtiyanath said answering a query on slogan, 'Abhi Ayodhya ki baari hai, Kashi-Mathura baaki hai' which had been linked to some Sangh outfits during the Ramjanambhoomi movement.
He lauded the Supreme Court judgment in the Ayodhya issue and said everyone accepted it.
" Any society should feel proud of its heritage, and all these efforts have begun in that direction. We are grateful to the Supreme Court, which unanimously reviewed the facts and evidence presented and delivered a verdict. It is the most significant victory for Indian democracy that everyone accepted this decision of the Supreme Court," Yogi Adiyanath said.
Answering a query, Yogi Adityanath said it is difficult for him to pinpoint just one achievement, and that when the tenure is long, there is a long list of achievements.
"If you ask followers of Sanatan Dharma to name one festival they enjoy, they wouldn't be able to. They will mention Holi, Diwali, Vijayadashami, Rakshabandhan, Ramnavami, Krishna Janmashtami, Chhath. It's a challenge for me to name just one event. But a significant moment in my life was when, after 500 years, the foundation stone for the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya was laid by the Prime Minister," he said.
"When the grand temple was built after 500 years, and the flag of Dharma was hoisted by the Prime Minister at the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, then these three occasions, including the agitation, are the most important events which unfolded during my tenure," he added.
Yogi Adiyanath, who is the longest serving Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in successive terms, said he is satisfied when he sees a 'Danga Mukt Pradesh.'"
"With the inspiration of the Prime Minister, the leadership of the BJP gave me the opportunity to serve. I am the first Chief Minister to work for such a long time in a big state like Uttar Pradesh. After working continuously for five years, the public has elected me again. Our government worked from 2017 to 2022. In 2022, we again formed the government by winning with a thumping majority, and now we are preparing to win in 2027," he said.
