3 Bangladeshi en-route to Delhi arrested in Kanpur, investigation underway by intelligence agencies

Kanpur (UP), December 26, 2025 (ANI): Three Bangladeshi nationals arrested by Indian security forces from in Uttar Pradesh on the December 25. On the input of suspicious foreign citizen being traveling to Delhi, RPF conducted operation and arrested them in Kanpur. In the course of investigation, it is revealed that all 3 are originally from Burma, but living in Bangladesh since 2017. One of them visited India in 2024, who was, at this moment, taking the other two to Jammu, but confronted by RPF in Kanpur. We immediately informed IB, ATS, Army Intelligence & Local Intelligence Unit: RPF Assistant Commissioner, Vivek Verma. During preliminary questioning, they stated that they entered through Assam, and were travelling to Delhi by Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Express. Significance of the arrest lies with the backdrop of the political turmoil in Bangladesh amid widespread anti-India narrative. Critics accused that violence against Hindus has become a populist policy of the state under the Yunus regime. While the neighbour is going through a violent phase amid the regime change, Indian agencies stay on alert, checking each & every moment.
