3rd phase of COVID vaccination drive begins in parts of UP

Lucknow (UP), May 01 (ANI): The third phase of COVID-19 vaccination drive began on May 01 in parts of UP. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Avantibai Hospital vaccination centre in Lucknow and inspected the COVID vaccination drive there. He said, “2500 centres for 45+ have begun phase 3 vaccination today. We've also begun vaccination for 18+ age category and included 7 distritcs where positivity rate and active cases are highest-Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorahpur, Bareilly, Kanpur and Meerut, 85 separate centres for 18+ set up.” He further said, “In next 5 days, vaccination will be done in these 85 centres at 7 districts. After this, everyone will be given vaccines in other districts. We have decided to give free vaccines to people between 18-44 years of age. People above 45 years of age are being given free vaccine by GoI.” Population under 18-44 years of age group will get vaccinated in the 3rd phase.
