75th Republic Day: Rooftops of 120 ‘Shikara’ boats on Dal Lake decorated in Tricolour

Srinagar, January 26 (ANI): On the occasion of 75th Republic Day, the Srinagar District Administration on January 26 decorated the rooftops of 120 ‘Shikara’ boats on Dal Lake, in Tricolour. The ‘Shikara’ boats together showcased three colours of the National Flag, i.e. Saffron, white and green with an Ashoka Chakra in the middle. Republic Day is celebrated on January 26 every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950.
