For years, Mitthu Devi Thapa Magar and her husband Krishna struggled with poor eyesight and limited access to healthcare in Nepal’s Bara district. Their lives changed when the Tilganga Nijgadh Community Eye Hospital opened near their home, bringing quality eye care within easy reach. After losing vision in both eyes due to cataracts, Krishna found everyday tasks increasingly difficult. Following successful surgery, he regained his sight and independence. Mitthu had earlier undergone cataract treatment, but had to travel long distances for care.
