New Delhi, March 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 11 attended the post-Budget webinar on ‘PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM VIKAS)’. Speaking during the 12th of a series of 12 such webinars following the Budget 2023-24 presentation on February 1, PM Modi talked about the newly-announced PM-VIKAS scheme and its importance in helping the craftsmen in the country. “In the past years, through Skill India Mission and Skill Development Centres, we have worked to increase the skills of crores of youth and give them new employment opportunities. We need to promote such skills and promote the craftsman,” said PM Modi. “There is a need to incorporate the latest technologies into the traditional process of creation, helping beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma Yojana. We need to support our skilled human resources from different walks of life. We are providing Vishwakarma Saathis with holistic institutional support, easy access to loans and technical support, digital empowerment, brand promotion, and access to markets. We aim to make our Vishwakarma Saathis future entrepreneurs. We are working on creating a holistic and sustainable business plan for our Vishwakarma Saathis,” the PM further said.
