New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Khalistan Tiger Force chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar was gunned down outside a Gurudwara in the parking area in Canada’s Surrey. He was one of India’s most-wanted terrorists carrying a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head. Hailing from Bharsinghpur village in Punjab’s Jalandhar, Nijjar was based in Surrey and had been declared “absconder” by the NIA. Canada-based Vancouver Sun said Surrey RCMP S Sgt Tyner Gillies did not confirm the identity of the murder victim. This is the second death of a Khalistani leader reported in a week. On June 15, Avtar Singh Khanda died in England’s Birmingham as he was suffering from blood cancer. Khanda was amongst those involved in the vandalism of Indian High Commission in London. He was recently arrested in connection with the allegation of pulling down the Indian flag at HC in London. NIA had identified Khanda along with three others as the main miscreants behind the violent protest. EAM S Jaishankar had also reacted to this shameful incident of pulling down of the National flag.
