Asked Delhi medical superintendents to ensure treatment of non-COVID-19 patients: Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi, Apr 17 (ANI): In wake of growing cases of coronavirus, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan held meeting with Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal and Health Minister of Delhi Satyendar Jain via video conference. Other senior officials were also present in the meeting. Speaking about the meeting, Dr Harsh Vardhan said, “We were receiving complaints that patients with emergency situations were denied treatment at some hospitals. At the meeting, I asked medical superintendents of Delhi to ensure that non-COVID-19 patients with chronic illness are not denied treatment.” 1640 positive coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Delhi as of April 17.
