Assam MLAs extend support to CM Himanta on border dispute: Ashok Singhal

Silchar (Assam), July 31 (ANI): A few days after border conflict Assam and Mizoram claimed lives of 5 police personnel, a joint all-party meeting of MLAs of Barak valley was held at the Circuit House Silchar. The meeting was chaired by Guardian Minister for Cachar Ashok Singhal on Friday. Guardian Minister Singhal said, “MLAs from Barak Valley belonging to all parties held a meeting (in Silchar) and unanimously decided to support the CM's decision regarding Mizoram-Assam border crisis. 11 out of 15 MLAs from the Valley were present at the meeting”. He added, “It was resolved that we will go to Rajya Sabha chairman over the role played by an MP & SP of Mizoram's district neighbouring (in the violence). All the MLAs of all parties have assured the CM that they are standing behind him”.
