Assam playing historical responsibility of preserving forest: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Silchar (Assam), July 27 (ANI): Speaking on the boundary dispute between two northeastern states of Mizoram and Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said Assam is playing a historical responsibility of preserving forest.“It is a reserve forest. Can reserve forest be utilised for settlement? The dispute is not regarding land, it's regarding forest. Assam wants to protect the forest. It's not organizing any settlement in the area, we don't want any settlement there. We have not lost any land. Assam is playing a historical responsibility of preserving forest”, said the Assam CM.
