Bengaluru poultry industry hit amid coronavirus scare

Bengaluru, Feb 19 (ANI): Amid coronavirus scare which has spread to 24 countries, fake news relating deadly virus and consumption of non vegetarian food have started circulating in country’s Silicon Valley. It has hit poultry industry in city. According to Karnataka Cooperative Poultry Federation President D. K. Kantharaju, “Karnataka is facing losses of Rs 60 to 65 crore. Consumption percentage has also decreased by 30-35%.”
