New Delhi, November 11 (ANI): In a big boost to India’s rocket force, DRDO is all set to test fire soon a new long-range anti-ship ballistic missiles. The missiles would be able to hit moving warships or aircraft carriers at distances of over 1,000 kms, defence sources told ANI. The missile would be capable of being launched from both warships and shore-based locations, the sources said. The missile system being developed for the Indian Navy would give it capability to take out enemy vessels from a long-range. Indian forces have been boosting inventory with Pralay ballistic missiles ordered by both Indian Army and IAF. The numbers are going to be gradually increased with induction of short and medium-range missiles in the three services. In recent times, there has been a large-scale use of ballistic missiles in conflicts even by non-state actors firing rockets. To stay battle ready Indian forces are in talks with stakeholders to increase inventory to meet all security challenges.
