Business of vegetable, fruit vendors continues to struggle amid COVID

New Delhi, June 17(ANI): Vegetable and Fruit Trade affected in wholesale markets in Delhi due to COVID-19. Vegetable vendors at Gazipur Sabzi Mandi said that lesser footfall of customers at the market is affecting their business. A vendor said, "situation is bad, there is no work. Customers are not coming to the market. Prices keep fluctuating, sometimes vegetables rot away." Whereas the fruits sellers at Okhla Mandi also said that the sale of mangoes has dropped this year as fewer customers are coming in at the market. A trader, Mohd Yameen said, "Our fruits are rotting away, we have fewer customers. There is no shortage of fruits but the buyers are fewer."
