Chandigarh PGIMER Director suggests measures to curb Mucormycosis

Chandigarh, May 22 (ANI): Chandigarh PGIMER Director Doctor Jagat Ram on May 22 suggested measures to prevent Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) as cases are on the rise in parts of India. “Diabetic control of the patients is very necessary and if they are on the high doses of steroids then doctors have to reduce the amount of it. For the treatment of infection Anti fungal Liposomal amphotericin B is being given for 3 to 4 weeks,” said Dr Ram.
