CM Bhajanlal Sharma & wife performs Gau Pujan on Gopashtami at Sadguru Teuram Gaushala in Mangyawas

Jaipur (Rajasthan), October 30, 2025 (ANI): Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, on the auspicious occasion of Gopashtami, performed cow worship (Gau Pujan) along with his wife at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state. The Chief Minister applied a tilak to the cow, offered flowers, garlanded her, and fed her jaggery. Later, the Chief Minister, along with his wife, visited the Sadguru Teuram Gaushala located in Mangyawas, Jaipur, where he again performed Gau Pujan and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the state. CM Sharma said that this festival is not only religious but also deeply connected with environmental protection and strengthening of the rural economy. He added that Gopashtami is an eternal heritage of Sanatan culture, symbolizing reverence, service, and protection of cows. The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government is continuously working for cow protection, the development of gaushalas, and the empowerment of cattle rearers. He urged people to stay aware and active in cow service and environmental conservation. CM Sharma further said, “When Lord Shri Krishna was six years old, he took a vow to graze cows for the first time — that is why he was called Gopal. Cow is the foundation of our culture, agriculture, and life.” He informed that the state government has increased the financial assistance provided to gaushalas, further strengthening cow protection efforts. He appealed to all sections of society to make cow conservation and service a mass movement.
