CM Gehlot inaugurates 512 'Indira Rasoi'

Jaipur (Rajasthan) September 19 (ANI): Indira Rasoi Yojana is being run by the Rajasthan Government with the resolution of 'No one should sleep hungry' in the state. Through this scheme, the government is providing nutritious food to the poor and needy people for only 8 rupees. Under this, recently Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot launched 512 new Indira Rasoi in the state. After the opening of these new rasoi, the number of Indira Rasoi in the state will increase to 870. On this occasion, a program was organised in Jaipur in which Chief Minister Gehlot also honoured the Indira Rasoi operators who did excellent work in various districts. On this occasion, Chief Minister Gehlot said that it is the priority of the government to provide adequate food to the poor at the lowest rate. Under this scheme, the state government is giving subsidies of 17 rupees per plate. He also said that so far more than 7 crore plates of nutritious food have been served to the common man through 358 Indira Rasoi. With the establishment of these 512 new rasoi, a target has been set to take this number to about 14 crore thali. According to the budget announcement, the number of Indira Rasoi will be increased up to 1,000 soon.
