CM Gehlot inaugurates Jaipur Saras National Craft Mela

Jaipur (Rajasthan) March 11 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot virtually inaugurated the Jaipur Saras National Craft Mela organized at Ramlila Maidan to be held till March 21. Welcoming the artisans, craftsmen and artists from different states of the country, the Chief Minister said that the state government will give a lot of encouragement to their art and skill. The addition of more than 23 lakh women through more than 2 lakh self-help groups in Rajasthan is an auspicious sign. This shows that women are poised to become self-sufficient. Chief Minister Gehlot stressed that the state government will provide appropriate platforms for better marketing of the products of women self-help groups in the state. This will allow their products to be recognized nationally and globally. He said that it is a matter of pleasure that a large number of women are becoming self-reliant through self-help groups. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also interacted with women of self-help groups from different regions of the country.
