COVID-19: 5.29 crore beneficiaries given free ration so far, says Finance Ministry

New Delhi, Apr 14 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in the national capital on April 14 amid coronavirus pandemic, the Additional DG (Media and Communications) in the Ministry of Finance & Corporate Affairs, Rajesh Malhotra said, “5.29 crore beneficiaries have been given free ration of food grains under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana (PMGKY).” “3,985 million tonnes of pulses have also been dispatched to various states and union territories for distribution,” he added.
