COVID-19 lockdown: AMU students board buses to reach their hometowns

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), May 02 (ANI): Around 30 students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were sent to their hometowns by 20 buses of Uttar Pradesh roadways amid coronavirus pandemic. The students were stuck in Aligarh due to nationwide lockdown. All the buses were sanitised before sending the students to their respective homes. All the students have also gone through medical check-up before boarding the buses. Masks and sanitisers were also given to the students for safety purpose. There are total 2281 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 25,148 with 1152 deaths in India.
